It is always my intent to be a traveler, not a tourist.  I want to experience local customs, foods, architecture and people. It is imperative that I document ethically and respectfully without ever being exploitive. I believe this balance is achieved over time and through sharing of meals, laughter, tears, working side by side, conversations or mimed communication.  Only then it becomes possible to capture images that collectively form a portrait of a place.
